Kent Meister Photography
I am a scenic designer and multidisciplinary artist based in New York City.
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. My mother comes from an Eastern European family who moved to Venezuela after World War II and my father was from Morocco.
When I moved to New York, I pursued a degree in advertising design with a focus on art history and Central and South American literature followed by an MFA in Computer Art from School of Visual Arts. My subsequent early career as an interactive, graphic and multimedia designer, combined with my diverse background has given me a foundation to embark on my journey as a scenic designer.
I hold an MFA in design and technical theater from Brooklyn College, where I was trained by Donyale Werle, Justin Townsend, Kip Marsh, and Teresa Snider-Stein.
